Let me take you back to December 2017 right before Christmas. You see here in Colorado it’s gets cold usually toward the end of October. Comfort foods and cozy days & nights in front of the fire begin early in my world. I was very aware that I was already up a few pounds and I assured myself I would not let it get out of control. December became January, January became February, and so on…

March rolls around and here I am every morning getting dressed in clothing that is fitting a little differently with each passing day. And every morning I tell myself “I will work out tonight”. And every night, I don’t.

So much for not letting it get out of control.

I needed something to get me excited to work out and drop some winter insulation. Thankfully my motivation showed up in the Ellie March 2018 subscription box.

This outfit is so dang cute and I WANT TO WEAR IT.

This outfit has easily become my favorite active wear outfit from Ellie. Everything about it is fabulous. It has ALL the elements of an active wear outfit I crave.

Marika – Lynn Sport Bra

It’s the deepest navy blue hue I’ve seen, although it’s called “peacoat” in active wear fashion terms. It’s so rich and saturated in color. (helpful hint: white deodorant will leave marks)

And I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the great coverage and substantial shoulder straps.

The back is the most adorable crisscross pattern. This details allows for some femininity to be mixed in with a full coverage front.

Marika – Conform Capri Legging (22″)

At first glance I’m in love with these leggings.

I’m not going to mislead you into thinking I’m not a wee bit freaked out about actually putting them on. The bright colors and geometric patterns worry me. That can only magnify the subject, right?

Surprisingly I felt really comfortable and confident in them. I actually think the geometric patterns confuse my eye leaving it to wonder…is that a bump and lump or is that just a geometric shape. NICE WORK Marika!

And the pattern block shapes on the sides are really quite adorable and flattering in my opinion. My thigh almost looks like it has a muscle in there; almost.

Balance Collection – Moxie Singlet
I’m all about the sleeveless shirts right now. Not tanks…sleeveless shirts. Like a jersey slub shirt (I think I made that word up) straight outta The Outsiders.

Well maybe except for the eyelet detailing. Not sure pony boy would have done eyelet. From the front you only have that eyelet detailing around the arm holes.

The back however has lots and lots more eyelet for the eye. GAH – this top is so freaking cute!

My only problem – I wished it was a bit longer and wider at the base for my current situation.

But that’s alright…I’m quite aware my proportion is a little out of balance currently. Proportion Goals!

But just look how fabulous the crisscross of the sports bra looks peeking out through the back of this top.
