GLOSSY BOX February 2018 Review
The GLOSSY BOX February 2018 theme is perfectly titled Sealed With a Kiss. #GLOSSYKISSES
I’m continually blown away by the thought that go into GLOSSY’S boxes. They’re always exquisitely manicured with pristine detailing. I love seeing what they’ll do next to impress upon me a feeling of royalty and luxury.
The products in this month’s box each emulate individualized personal touch. Each item create a feeling of focused attention and appreciation; while the box conjures up the desire to sit down and hand-write letters, by candlelight on lovely embossed stationary.

John Masters Organics Body Wash and Body Milk
I wasn’t really sure who John Masters or his organics were before receiving my GLOSSY February Box.
After trolling a bit, I’m definitely feeling his vibe though. He has a sort-of “renegade peace warrior” vibe going for him. Sadly – vibe or no vibe his price points are a little high for my brow. Which likely means I don’t have his same hipster vibe.
Body Wash – Geranium & Grapefruit – Retail: $6.50
The 2 fl oz bottle retails for $6.50 (uh huh…individually $6.50). The full-size 8 fl oz retails for $18.00.
Body Milk – Geranium & Grapefruit – Retail: $6.50
I don’t know, maybe I use too much product, but 8 fl oz would last me 2 weeks‘ish?
That’s a lot a dough! Unless it’s promising me a whole hell-uv-allota bang for that buck, like cellulite free thighs and removal of all uneven skin tones, I’m not likely to justify spending that, not regularly anyway.
But alas this penny conscious luxury brand lover has become an expert at incorporating throughout the year luxury products I love and intermingling them within my more economically sound purchases found at the local drug store.

Royal Apothic
Scrubbie Sugar Lip Scrub – Retail: $14.00
LOVING the vintage old-world apothecary style of the tube. (Oh to be a brander!)
I like that the aluminum tube is sealed at the top where you must poke a hole in the tube to access the scrub. Something about this little detail makes me feel it has NO opportunity for cooties from the factory. (must poke hole = no cooties, naturally)
And let’s not forget the EXTRACT of FIG. I don’t know what it is about extract of anything in the “clean eating foods” category that makes me feel it has some sort of “good for you” element to it.
Quite frankly I just need to be told I’m living a lifestyle of healthy choices.
There was nothing that stood out with the Royal Apothic lip scrub crowning it a more stellar lip scrubs above others I’ve tried. There was also nothing that made it inferior to any others. I’m not sure if there is any ONE lip scrub out there on the market that’s a real stand out among its peers.
Until the next mysterious miracle ingredient is discovered by one lucky brand, I’m pretty sure most reputable brand lip scrubs are all created pretty equal.
With that being said – it’s a perfectly lovely lip scrub and I’ll certainly use it.
LUXIE Beauty
Small Tapered Blending Brush 231 – Retail: $16.00
I have 100% confidence in my gut instinct telling me this is an awesome eye make-up application brush. Cause it’s so very very soft.
That’s about the extent of my authority to speak to the efficacy of the LUXIE small tapered blending brush. However, rest assured all the reviews speak nothing but the highest of praises for the all the brushes LUXIE introduces to your face!

DOUCCE
Gloss Wear Lip Gloss – Retail: $24.00
Prepare your lips for this plumping gloss that is perfect for puckering.
I really do like the formula but I’m not a fan of the color. I think I have PTBLCD (post traumatic bright lip color disorder).
I had a friend who once said to me in front of a group at a social gathering in a very snark infused let’s cause some insecurity type-o-way,
“Wow! Erin sure has her party lipstick on today” W.T.F. – you wanna back-off my lip color choices homie? It’s not like I’m the first person ever to wear a bold lip.
I hate passive aggressive bullshit comments.
Nonetheless this is a lovely formula that is perfectly suited for sealing letters with a kiss!

JJ YOUNG by CAOLION LAB
Pore Green Tea Mud Sheet Mask – Retail: $5.00
I really like the construction of the mask – it’s two pieces! The top portion goes from your hair line down right passed your cheekbones and nose. The second piece overlaps ever so slightly piece 1 starting at the top of lip line extending down over your jawline. In terms of placement and fit this was by far one of the least intrusive feeling and easier sheet masks to apply.
Unfortunately, I did not have a fondness for the other aspects of the mask. First the instructions are confusing. It has what seems like a lot of plastic on each side of it that I couldn’t quite figure out what to do with. (Cease your wondering – yep, I read the instructions 3 times)
Additionally whatever ingredients that are in this mask, when mixed with green tea become quite messy. It got on my neck and arms, my black pants, in my hair. Nightmare!
Bonus Round Points – it stuck to my face really well, possibly a result of it being so thick. I personally don’t think it needs to be a sheet mask, just a mask would suffice. I wish it would have just been a product in a jar that you apply to your face. I’m not sure I understand the need to include the sheet?
