Full disclosure…going into this order I was pretty much unofficially an official fan. (huge spongy #1 fan finger here) Their site had already woo’ed me with its efficiency, which you can read in my First Impressions review here.

I’m a rule follower. I like order. I like structure. I like symmetry. I like processes that are simple to navigate my way through. Did I mention order?

Note to Self: find subscription box that’s curated to people with control issues.

It’s a wonder I’m still married and haven’t sent my kids off to boarding schools in Connecticut. Husbands and children are the antithesis to all things order and structure.

Birch Box, Birch Box…focus, right!

Really there’s not much I feel I need to give you a heads up regarding Birch Box’s ordering process. It was simple and straight forward. As Martha once so eloquently coined before she morphed into her bad ass, time served, snoop’s my dawg alter ego…it’s a good thing!

When I sign up for something I want it to be, simple, self-explanatory, and quick. I had no issues at all. If I had a big red easy button to push. I’d totally be hitting it.

The only detail I feel is worth noting, is one insignificant detail. And I really mean insignificant, it would not have been a deal breaker at this point. There was one aspect that confused (confused may be too harsh).

One aspect that was unclear to me. When you join, Birch Box gives customers an additional free box when you place your first order. Your provided with a code to enter at checkout.

I’m confident I get a free box with my first purchase. I saw it in my cart at check out. Thus, although I feel assured that there’s an additional box out there with my name on it, it just wasn’t totally clear if:

  1. Is it another additional box that will come with my first box?

or

  1. Is this a March Box that I won’t get charged for?

Let’s just stick a pin in this one, call it suspenseful, and imagine the possibilities that await!!!! Stay tuned, can’t wait to find out and share with you.

Welcome, Subscription Box Society readers, thanks for stopping by. I'm Erin and here's a bit about me, in the 3rd person, naturally. Erin's a wife & mom of 3, a girl and twin boys. She spent most her life in San Francisco Bay Area but now lives in Colorado. She loves the first snow of the season, but not as much as the last one. She loves decorating her home for each season, loves good food, scratch that – ALL food, and reality TV. She despises putting away the laundry, being in the car when her husband is driving, and hearing her own voice. But really the only noteworthy detail here is her fascination with the brilliance behind subscription boxes. Welcome to the Society!
